About Us
Bringing Two Worlds Closer Together: Connecting Oceania with the World
Tailored Logistics for a Unique Region
Island Cargo Support (ICS) is not your typical logistics company. We specialize in bridging the gap between the remote, ethnologically diverse regions of Oceania—Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia—and the rest of the world. Our logistics network connects coral atolls and volcanic islands, ensuring that even the most isolated communities receive the supplies they need.
At Island Cargo Support, we understand that shipping to the islands of Oceania and supporting critical marine spares worldwide is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. Unlike many logistics companies that rely on predetermined solutions, we tailor our services to meet the unique challenges of each shipment. We believe that traditional measures of customer satisfaction are not enough; simply meeting expectations is considered average. Instead, we strive to consistently exceed our customers’ expectations, knowing that our work directly impacts lives. For us, logistics is not just about moving goods from point A to point B—it’s about making a meaningful difference. Whether it’s delivering life-saving medicines to a hospital in a remote island village or ensuring critical marine spares reach their destination on time, our commitment goes beyond standard service levels.
Empowering Growth and Development in the South Pacific
Our philosophy extends beyond logistics. Island Cargo Support is a catalyst for investment, development, and trade among the island nations of the South Pacific. By providing reliable, uninterrupted supply chains, we empower individuals, businesses, and governments to focus on economic development and improving the quality of life in one of the most geographically isolated regions in the world.
We embrace high standards of ethics, management, and accountability in everything we do. Through partnerships with regional and international carriers, as well as port and government authorities, we ensure that our customers’ logistics needs are met with precision and care.
Committed to the People of Oceania
Island Cargo Support is dedicated to the people of the South Pacific. We are a high-performing, well-respected partner to individuals, businesses, and governments alike. Our commitment to the region is unwavering, and we take pride in providing shipping services that are often taken for granted in other parts of the world but are vital in Oceania’s challenging environment.

Ziggy Vollrath
PPG General Manager
I began my career in cargo handling with Samoa Air in February 1994, where our company was chosen as the Ground Service Agent (GSA) for American International Airways, Inc., managing Kalitta Air’s Boeing 747 freighters. This marked a new era for American Samoa, ensuring reliable transportation for US Mail and various freight, from medical supplies to helicopters. I eventually became station manager before partnering with a Los Angeles-based forwarder, opening American Samoa’s first IATA freight forwarding office in 1997. I joined Island Cargo Support (ICS) in June 2017 as the general manager and local partner of the Pago Pago branch.
